Core Privacy Principle

All tools on TechFixGen run entirely in your browser. The data you enter, transform, or generate never leaves your device. We have no backend servers that process, store, or transmit your tool inputs.

Information We Collect

1. Analytics Data (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns. This collects:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • General geographic region (country-level, derived from IP)
  • Browser type, device type, and screen resolution
  • How you arrived at our site (referral source)
  • Anonymous usage patterns (e.g., which tools are popular)

Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information. We have configured Google Analytics to anonymize IP addresses. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

2. Session Recording (Microsoft Clarity)

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how users interact with our site through anonymized session recordings and heatmaps. Clarity may record:

  • Mouse movements and clicks
  • Scroll depth
  • Pages visited
  • Session duration

Clarity anonymizes sensitive data and masks any text input in form fields. We do not use Clarity to collect personally identifiable information.

3. Cookies

TechFixGen uses the following cookies:

  • Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) — to distinguish users and track sessions
  • Microsoft Clarity cookies (_clck, _clsk) — to track session continuity for heatmaps
  • Preference cookies — your dark/light theme preference, stored via localStorage, not a cookie

4. Local Storage

We use localStorage to store your theme preference. This data never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to us or any third party.

5. AdSense (Future)

We may introduce Google AdSense advertisements in the future to support the project. If implemented, AdSense will use its own cookies and data collection policies. This policy will be updated before any ads are displayed.

Data We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information
  • We do not collect or transmit any tool inputs or outputs
  • We do not create user accounts or maintain login sessions
  • We do not sell, share, or trade data with third parties
  • We do not use advertising cookies at this time

  • Right to deletion — request deletion of any data we hold
  • Right to opt out — disable analytics cookies via your browser settings or use a browser extension

Since we collect only anonymous analytics, it is generally not possible to identify or delete data about a specific individual. You can opt out at any time by blocking analytics cookies in your browser.

Children's Privacy

TechFixGen is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
